Four Reasons to Visit Africa
Africa has always been one of the most beautiful continents in the world and it seems many people, especially visitors, are just waking up to this fact. Countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt and South Africa are ushering in a new era for tourism as Africa increasingly becomes known as a tourist destination. Waiting for tourists is a wonderful adventure and a host of things to do, including boat tours, a safari in the jungle, a relaxing spa holiday, bird watching and other wildlife. Africa is the place to be and these are just a few reasons why you should visit.
Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
The Maasai Mara is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa. There is something so special about it that it tempts you back time and again. The Maasai Mara is located under big skies in the Great Rift Valley. Most of the game viewing activities occur on the valley floor. The animals have the freedom to move outside the park into huge areas known as ‘dispersal area’. There is a lot to do in the reserve, from Game Drives, Walking Safaris, Cultural tours with the Maasai to Hot Air Ballooning.
The Victoria Falls, Zambia
The Victoria Falls have been billed as the Greatest Falling Curtain of Water on this Planet, making it one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The experience here is at the least, breath taking. The water is always thundering as it falls over a cliff that is among the highest in the world and no doubt the highest in Africa. This cliff is a visible demonstration of God’s greatness and your visit to Africa is not complete and you have seen the falls.
Omo River Region, Ethiopia
The beautiful landscape of the Omo River proves too alluring for many visitors. The park is full of nature and wild animals including buffalos. It is almost surreal as it is removed from everyday experience. The Omo river region is home to more than 50 different tribes. This is a must visit for those who love African culture because of its huge cultural heritage.
The Pyramids and the Sphinx
You may have seen the Sphinx in movies but be assured that the experience is not like seeing it first hand. Set with the pyramids in the background, it is absolutely jaw dropping. A must see.
